John Michael Anderson was born in Kalispell, Montana, and spent thirty-four years designing bridges and municipal water systems across the Pacific Northwest. He met Susan at a county fair in 1986 and married her eleven months later.
He was the kind of man who fixed your car in his driveway and refused to let you pay for the parts. Weekends belonged to the lake — a thermos of coffee, a fly rod, and whichever grandchild had gotten up early enough to come along.
He is survived by Susan, their three children, and six grandchildren, every one of whom called him Papa John.
