How much does a Plus plan cost?

Plans & Pricing

Plus pricing depends on the type of memorial. For people, Plus costs $7.95 per month, $69.95 per year, or $149.95 as a one-time Lifetime purchase. For pets, Plus costs $5.95 per month, $49.95 per year, or $119.95 as a one-time Lifetime purchase. Our Lite plan is always free for both people and pet memorials.

Can I control who is able to view the memorial?

Privacy & Access

Yes. Every memorial has its own visibility setting, and you can choose Public, Family-only, or Private, then change it whenever you like from Privacy Settings in your memorial dashboard. You decide both who can view the page and who can contribute to it, so your loved one's memory is shared only with the people you choose.

How are pet memorials different from memorials for people?

Creating a Memorial

Pet memorials work almost exactly like memorials for people, with two main differences. First, the Pets Plus plan does not include the Life Timeline or Family Tree features. Second, it costs less: Pets Plus starts at $5.95 per month, compared to $7.95 per month for people. Everything else is the same, including the Memory Quiz, which is part of Plus for pet memorials just as it is for people. Friends and family can test how well they remember your beloved companion in the same heartfelt way.

Can I upgrade from Lite to Plus later on?

Plans & Pricing

Yes. You can start with a free Lite memorial and upgrade to Plus whenever you're ready. Upgrading unlocks additional features, more space to tell your loved one's story, and greater opportunities for family members to take part.

What's the difference between the Lite and Plus plans?

Plans & Pricing

The main difference is how much you can include. Lite is a free memorial with a shareable link, an Obituary page, and a Memories page. Plus builds on those basics with a detailed Details page, unlimited Events with RSVP, media galleries, a Memory Quiz, Letters to Heaven, and Voices of Love. The Memory Quiz is included with Plus on both people and pet memorials. For people memorials, Plus also adds a Life Timeline and Family Tree, and those two features are the only ones that aren't available for pet memorials.

Who can contribute to the Memories, Letters to Heaven, and Voices of Love sections?

Family Contributions

Anyone you allow can contribute, based on the privacy settings you choose. Visitors can share Memories, write Letters to Heaven, and add Voices of Love. As the administrator, you can review and moderate every contribution before it appears publicly on the memorial.

How does the Family Tree feature work?

Creating a Memorial

The Family Tree provides a visual map of family connections and supports a range of relationships, including divorced and remarried lineages. The person being remembered sits at the center, and children are grouped by marriage, creating a clear and respectful picture of their legacy.

Can I cancel my Plus subscription at any time?

Billing & Subscription

Yes. You can manage or cancel monthly and annual subscriptions at any time from your Memorial Management dashboard. If you cancel, the memorial simply reverts to Lite, and all of your content is safely preserved. The Lifetime option is a one-time purchase, so there's nothing to cancel; it stays with the memorial permanently.

Can I create a memorial for a person or a pet?

Creating a Memorial

Yes. Graceful Remembrance offers dedicated memorial paths for both people and pets, so the experience feels right for the life you're honoring. Simply choose the appropriate path when you create the memorial, then add photos, stories, events, letters, and more.

  • Separate discovery pages for people and pets
  • Media-first memorial layouts
  • Private, family-only, or public visibility
  • Shared participation from loved ones

What can I add to a memorial besides an obituary?

Creating a Memorial

A memorial can hold much more than an obituary. You can add a Life Timeline, photo and video galleries, services and Events with RSVP, family history, a Memory Quiz, Letters to Heaven, Voices of Love, and personal milestones, along with spaces where loved ones can react and share their own stories. Everything is arranged in a calm, easy-to-browse layout.

How do Letters to Heaven and Voices of Love work?

Family Contributions

Letters to Heaven are written messages that visitors can leave, whether for a meaningful date or simply as a remembrance, and each letter can be public, family-only, or private. Voices of Love is a premium addition on Plus memorials: a contributor chooses a recording length (15 seconds for $29.95, 30 seconds for $49.95, or 60 seconds for $84.95), purchases that tribute slot, then records the message in a browser or on a phone. Voice tributes are reviewed before they join the memorial's collective playlist, and you decide how both letters and voices appear based on your memorial's privacy settings.

Is payment for voice recordings handled securely?

Billing & Subscription

Yes. Payments for paid features are processed through trusted, secure payment systems. Your card details are handled entirely by the payment provider and are never stored on memorial pages, so families can purchase add-ons with complete confidence.

Can family members add memories, quiz comments, and event details?

Family Contributions

Yes, once you invite them and grant the right level of access. Family members can take part in quizzes, share memories, RSVP or comment on events, and leave reactions, depending on which options you choose to enable for your memorial.

Will submitted voices and other tributes appear right away?

Family Contributions

Not right away. Memories, photos, videos, letters, and voice tributes come to you for review first. Pending letters and pending voices are shown on your memorial dashboard overview, and photos, videos, and memories wait for you under Content Approvals. Each item appears on the memorial once you approve it, which gives you time to take extra care with anything sensitive.

How do I start creating a memorial?

Creating a Memorial

Start by choosing whether you're honoring a person or a pet, then follow the guided steps to add a name, key dates, photos, and a short story. You can save your progress and return at any time to enrich the page with more media, events, and participation features.

Can I edit or update a memorial after it goes live?

Creating a Memorial

Yes. As the memorial owner, you can return at any time to edit text, add photos, update events, and adjust sections as new memories and milestones come along. Your changes save to the same memorial URL, so any links you've already shared will keep working.

What photo and video formats are supported?

Creating a Memorial

You can upload common image formats such as JPEG and PNG, along with standard video files, for your galleries and tribute sections. For very large files, we may apply compression so your pages stay fast for visitors on any device.

Is there a limit on how many photos I can add?

Plans & Pricing

Photo and video galleries are part of Plus. A Lite memorial includes an Obituary page, a Memories page, and a shareable link, but it does not include a photo gallery, so you would move to Plus (monthly, annual, or lifetime) to start adding photos. With Plus you can build complete galleries, organize images with category filters, and keep adding more as new photos surface. For very large files, we may apply compression so your pages stay fast for visitors on any device.

Can visitors download photos from a memorial?

Privacy & Access

It's up to you. Whether visitors can download photos depends on the visibility and permissions you choose for the memorial. Many families prefer view-only sharing, and if you do allow downloads, that option will always follow the settings you've selected.

Who can read letters left on a memorial?

Privacy & Access

That's entirely up to you. Letters can be kept private to the family, shared only with invited contributors, or displayed publicly, matching how open or protected you'd like that part of the tribute to be.

Can I remove a voice tribute after it's posted?

Family Contributions

Yes. As a memorial administrator, you can manage the tributes that appear on the page. If something needs to be taken down for privacy or accuracy, you can use the memorial management tools or contact support for help with a specific recording.

How do memory quizzes work for guests?

Family Contributions

The Memory Quiz is a Plus feature and it is available on both people and pet memorials. Quizzes invite visitors to answer light, timed prompts and share stories about the person or pet being remembered. Scores appear on a leaderboard and each quiz has its own conversation thread, so the results and comments help spark conversation and make it easy for people to take part, even when they're not sure what to write in a longer message.

Can I list funeral or celebration-of-life events?

Family Contributions

Yes. You can add dates, locations, and details for any service or gathering so attendees know exactly when and where to join. Visitors can RSVP to any event you list, whether it's a funeral, wake, candlelight vigil, memorial service, or celebration of life, so you can see who plans to attend and easily share updates with them.

How do I update my billing or account email?

Billing & Subscription

Just sign in and open your account or billing settings, where you can update your payment method, email address, and notification preferences. If you lose access to your email, contact support with details to verify your identity, and we'll help you recover the account safely.

What happens if a payment fails?

Billing & Subscription

If a payment doesn't go through, you'll usually receive a notice asking you to update your payment method. Features that depend on active billing may be paused until the payment succeeds, but your memorial content stays linked to your account in line with our retention policies.
